Our Story

Mumbetti started in the simplest way possible. Out of curiosity, creativity, and a love for candles.

We have always enjoyed lighting candles, the way they instantly make a space feel calmer, softer, and a little more personal. At some point, that love turned into a thought. Why not try making our own?

With no formal training, just a lot of late nights, YouTube videos, and trial and error, we began experimenting. What started as a small creative outlet slowly grew into something we truly cared about.

The name Mumbetti comes from a little wordplay. Mumma and beti, a reflection of where it all began. It also plays on “mombatti,” the Hindi word for candles. It felt personal, familiar, and just right.

Every candle we make is hand-poured with care. From choosing fragrances to designing each piece, we focus on creating something that feels thoughtful and a little different. Some are inspired by everyday comfort, others by pop culture, moods, or moments we want to hold onto.

Mumbetti is not just about candles. It is about small moments. A quiet evening, a thoughtful gift, a corner of your space that feels like you.

We are still learning, still experimenting, and still pouring each candle with the same excitement we started with.
